Family Therapy Program

family-therapy-utahFamily therapy is a solution based psychotherapy that can help your family improve relationships, learn how to work together effectively, and to develop new behavioral patterns. Regardless if the issue is with a child, teen, spouse, parent or sibling, Pathways Real Life Recovery in Utah can help. When working with a Utah family therapist, your whole family will learn to examine your family’s ability to problem solve and to express thoughts and feelings in a positive manner. Every family is different, with a unique social structure that only applies to them. If one member of the family has a mental illness, alcohol addiction, death, divorce, or drug addiction, family therapy can be very beneficial. When one member of a family suffers from something like this, not only can it be a product of their family life but it can also have negative effects on the whole family. This is why family therapy is such a useful tool in the therapeutic process. In the case of addiction, the affected family member may require individual treatment, medication management, and sometimes the rest of the family members attend a family therapy session to learn how to empower vs enable their loved one.

Benefits of Utah Family Therapy

Family Therapy can benefit a family on multiple levels, by treating the affected person in a group, along with the rest of the family. This method empowers the individual to see the effects that their behavior or condition is having on their loved ones. Family therapy can be useful to treat parenting issues, marriage concerns, grief, stress, anger and more.

Simple and Effective
Pathways is an amazing program and they helped our family deal with a number of issues with myself and kids while my divorce was being finalized. I was offered genuine care and support throughout my entire experience. They gave me encouragement and support when I couldn’t find it for myself but I knew I had to be there for my kids. I would highly recommend Pathways!

What is Residential Rehab?
Residential Treatment is a place where clients can live outside of their regular environment in a facility that offers supervision and support and therapeutic interventions for those in early recovery. A client will eat and sleep at the facility. Clients participate in a clinically driven program daily to gain skills to maintain recovery. Residential treatment puts you or your loved one under our care 24 hours per day.
Residential treatment works by removing the person from the toxic environment and putting them in a safe, quiet environment that promotes a healthy and whole place to work on themselves. Clients gain tools and skills that will assist them in addressing core issues that have caused maladaptive coping skills, such as drugs and alcohol use. Inpatient treatment provides support through skilled staff that is available 24 hours per day to assist in the process of healing.
Upon checking into residential treatment, you will see a medical provider to ensure that you clear to begin the treatment program. You will have an intake with trained staff and assigned a room and be introduced to your peers. You will meet with clinical staff for a complete assessment, be briefed on what to expect during residential treatment. You will also be given an opportunity to participate in creating a treatment plan and provide input on areas of your life you would like to work on.
